PKR national youth chief Akmal Nasir exposed a troubling WhatsApp message to delegates at the party’s national congress over the weekend in Malacca.
As it is, the congress was marred by some irresponsible individuals who created an unnecessary commotion just before the opening of the congress.
Akmal had said he was shocked when a delegate tipped him off that there had been actual attempts to create problems at the congress.
Though he did not reveal who was responsible for sending the message, the media managed to get copies of it.
The message basically called for 30 “hardcore” men to create problems at the congress.
Akmal said he had since lodged a police report and urged the authorities to investigate and take the relevant action.
The person who sent the message also said he wanted to lock the doors to the hall and pass a motion of no confidence against Akmal.
Prior to the congress, party president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had called on all delegates not to create any problems and ensure the congress progressed smoothly.
PKR is the biggest coalition in Pakatan Harapan and all eyes have been on the party following the open disagreements between Anwar and his deputy, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
