Excitement building up over the Johor royal wedding next month.
A source close to the Johor Royal palace has revealed that the wedding plans of Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have been two years in the making, the New Straits Times reported.
The source disclosed that since the news was officially announced by the Johor Royal Council on Sunday, the princess has been flooded by messages from well-wishers on social media.
A significant number of the messages were also directed at the 31-year-old princess’ husband-to-be, Dennis Muhammad Abdullah, 28, from the Netherlands, whom many find extremely dashing.
“I know Dennis and I can tell you he is very handsome. He’s an ordinary guy from a small town in the Netherlands.

“The couple share a common love for sports and fashion. In my opinion, they make a dashing couple and I am sure they will be very happy together,” she said.
The source also revealed that the couple chose Aug 14 for their wedding as it is also the 58th birthday of the Permaisuri Johor, Raja Zarith Sofia.
“The couple (want it to be a) day of double celebration,” the source added.

In his official Facebook page, Sultan Ibrahim confirmed that Aug 14 was chosen as the wedding date, as he wants to celebrate the two most important women in his life – his only daughter and his wife.
Tunku Aminah has studied in LaSalle College’s International School of Fashion, Arts and Design.

She engages in sporting activities such as horseback riding, jogging and hiking, and was elected President of Football Club JDT (JDT) in 2016.

Dennis was a semi-professional footballer and manager of the JDT Concept Store and Cafe before becoming the marketing manager of Tampines Rovers Football Club in Singapore.
