Pakatan Harapan has named Adly Zahari as the Chief Minister if the alliance manages to wrest control of the state after the Nov 20 state election.
While Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim named Adly as the alliance’s choice, he did not mention Datuk Seri Idris Haron, who was contesting under the Pakatan’s banner at the Asahan seat.
Anwar was speaking at a press conference held at a leading hotel in Melaka on Wednesday (Nov 10).
Adly was also given the chance to table the action plan for Melaka if Pakatan comes into power.
Anwar also said the Pakatan was united by deciding on one candidate for the Chief Minister-designate.
The press conference was also attended by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.
Earlier, Lim said Pakatan was united and only had one list of candidates for the Melaka election, compared to their rivals.
The one list included Idris and the Pakatan candidate for Pantai Kundor, Datuk Nor Azman Hassan.
Idris, together with Nor Azman as well former Telok Mas assemblyman Datuk Noor Effandi Ahmad and former Pengkalan Batu’s Datuk Norhizam Baktee withdrew their support for Barisan Nasional /Perikatan Nasional-led state government on Oct 4. – The Star
