After more than a decade of trying for a baby, Malaysia’s pop diva Siti Nurhaliza is now a mother of a healthy baby girl.
According to a post on her Instagram account, the baby, weighing a healthy 3.55kg, was delivered by caesarean section at 8.17am Monday.
“Siti and her baby are both doing well,” Siti’s manager Rozi Abdul Razak said in the post.
“Siti and her husband Datuk Seri Mohamad Khalid Jiwa are grateful for all the prayers and support from family, friends, colleagues, fans and the media throughout the duration of her pregnancy,” he said.
The post revealed that the couple had chosen Monday, March 19, to be the day of birth of their first child as Prophet Muhammad SAW was born on a Monday and it is also the first day of the Islamic month of Rejab.
“Siti and Khalid would also like to be given a little time before announcing the name of the baby and what she looks like,” Rozi added.
The 39-year-old pop diva, who tied the knot with Khalid in 2006, announced she was pregnant last October. She suffered a miscarriage in December 2015.
