BN drops Noh Omar

Selangor Umno chief and incumbent Tanjong Karang MP Noh Omar has been dropped from contesting in the forthcoming general election (GE15).

In a statement today, BN secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir announced that BN will field Tanjong Karang Wanita Umno chief Habibah Mohd Yusof as the candidate for the Tanjong Karang seat.

Meanwhile, it was also announced that former PAS MP Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali will seek to retain his Kuala Nerus parliamentary seat under BN’s ticket.

“BN has finalised the candidates for seven more parliamentary constituencies.

“With this announcement, it makes the number of seats contested by BN for the parliamentary constituencies to 178,” Zambry said.

Other confirmed candidates are Che Abdullah Mat Nawi (Tumpat), A Kohilan Pillay (Batu), Chew Yin Keen (Bandar Tun Razak), Shamsulkahar Mohd Deli (Jempol) and Adnan Abu Hassan (Kuala Pilah). – Malaysiakini
