A post-mortem examination conducted on a murder victim, who was found near Rawang yesterday chopped up into parts and stuffed into a bag, showed that the man had sustained blows and injuries inflicted by a sharp weapon.
Sungai Buloh district police chief, Superintendent Shafa’aton Abu Bakar also confirmed that the victim was a foreigner.
“So far, we have only recorded a statement from one witness.
“The post-mortem results showed that the victim is a male and a foreigner.
“He is also believed to be a non-Muslim.
Shafa’aton said the police would continue with their investigation to ascertain the victim’s identity.
It was reported yesterday that a luggage containing pieces of a chopped-up human body was found along the North-South Expressway near the Rawang Selatan interchange (northbound) at 2pm.
Parts of the deceased’s remains were found lying on the grass near the bag. – NST
