The number of recoveries from Covid-19 has surpassed new infections for a third straight day, with 222 new recoveries compared to 118 new infections.
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said total recoveries are at 1,830, or 42.11 percent.
Total cases are at 4,346.
Meanwhile, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said three new deaths were recorded today, pushing the toll to 70.
The deceased comprised three Malaysians – two men and a woman – between the ages of 62 and 88, who had histories of various chronic diseases.
One of the patients had been in close contact with a positive case from the Sri Petaling mosque cluster. All three died earlier this morning.
Dr Noor Hisham added that said 69 patients are being treated in the ICU, with 40 in need of respiratory assistance.
