Third day in a row of cases being above the 800 mark.
The Ministry of Health announced today three more deaths from Covid-19 recorded today, alongside 865 new cases.
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham said local transmission comprised of 858 cases with the remaining seven are imported.
The total number of active cases in the country has now gone up to 7,436 cases.
Cumulatively, Malaysia has 21,363 cases.
Dr Noor Hisham said 455 individuals have recovered, which means the total of recoveries is 13,717.
Currently, 99 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 32 of them requiring ventilator support.
Sabah remains as the state with the highest number of new cases, with 643 more testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
Selangor recorded 107 new cases, Labuan (34) and Penang (26).
This is followed by Perak (18), Melaka (16), Kuala Lumpur (six), Negri Sembilan (four), Kedah (three), Putrajaya (three), Johor (two), Pahang (one) and Terengganu (one).
Sarawak, Kelantan and Perlis have no new cases.
Dr Noor Hisham said there were three new deaths, bringing the death toll to 190.
All three new deaths are in Sabah, involving an 85-year-old man at Tawau Hospital, a 52-year-old man at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu and a 70-year-old woman at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan.
