The number of critical-stage Covid-19 patients in Malaysia also reached an all-time high with 1,009 patients currently being treated at Intensive Care Units (ICU), including 524 who are intubated.
The Health Ministry also detected 33 new Covid-19 clusters – the highest in a single day – with 21 of them being workplace-linked clusters.
The remaining ten clusters were community clusters while another two were education clusters.
