Malaysia breaks triple Covid-19 records today, reporting its highest number of daily cases, active caseload and recoveries.

Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country reported an all-time high of 22,242 new cases today, bringing the national caseload to 1,466,512.
Selangor accounts for the largest number of infections at 6,858 followed by Sabah with 2,413 and Penang with 1,867.
As new cases outnumbered recoveries, active cases also reached a new peak of 254,484 cases today. The uptrend has been ongoing for more than 50 days now.
Today also registered the highest daily recoveries to date, with 19,680 people recuperating from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
With this, recoveries from Covid-19 now total 1,198,726.
There were also 1,060 patients warded in intensive care, with 540 on respiratory support.
In the past 24 hours, 225 deaths were reported, bringing the death toll from the coronavirus to 13,302.
