A septuagenarian from Kuala Lumpur, who had been missing since Monday evening, has been located.

Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said 78-year-old trader Robert Low Kon Fatt was found safe and sound in Rembau, Negri Sembilan.

He said Low has been admitted to Rembau Hospital for check-up.

“We received a call from the hospital that the victim was there. Passers-by had apparently found him in his car. He was feeling weak. We will be getting more details on how he got there,” he said.

Earlier, Nik Ezanee in a statement said police received a complaint from the victim’s 77-year-old wife yesterday afternoon that Low had been missing since Monday.

“The woman said she received a call from her husband at 9pm on Monday. He told her that he had lost his way and that was the last call she received. He was uncontactable since.”

Through social media posts by Low’s children, his supposed last known location to them was in the vicinity of the Desa Petaling area, about 43 km away from where police say he was last seen in Klang.

Rembau and Klang are about 120km apart.

In a Facebook post, the man’s daughter, Sha-Ron Low shared that her father had left work at around 4pm on Monday to deliver products to a client.

“That is what he told mom when she called him around 6 plus when he didn’t return home. She called him again at 9pm and he said he was lost and trying to find his way home.

“She again called him at 12 midnight and he said he was still lost and phone battery was running low. He has not been contactable since then,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sha-Ron has also shared on her Facebook page that her father has been found.

“We found Dad! We have just received confirmation from the police and also hospital authorities that my dad has been found.

“He is weak (dehydrated) but in stable condition. My mom and friends are heading to the hospital to see him now.

“We don’t have too much information at this point but wanted to get this message out to all you good people out there who have supported us over the last two nightmarish days.

“Once we have more clarity, we will send another update. My family and I are humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone,” the post read.
