According to a police spokesman, roadblocks have been set up in front of toll plazas entering and exiting Kuala Lumpur.
“Only those with valid reasons to go to another state will be allowed to make the journey.”

When asked about the valid reasons police would give the permit, he said that they will allow essential service vehicles or a vehicle that has an emergency to attend to outside the state such as death.
“Otherwise, they will be asked to turn back. This measure is to ensure that people adhere to the Movement Control Order (MCO),” the spokesman was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, highway concessionaire PLUS Malaysia Berhad said all its highways are fully operating.
