Independent candidate Nurhaslinda Basri is the sole rose among the thorns duking it out for the Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat (P107) this 15th General Election (GE15).
A total of seven candidates will be vying for the hot seat in Selangor.
“I have received the nomination papers for seven candidates and am satisfied that they have fulfilled all the requirements,” said returning officer Mohd Jusni Hashim at about 10.55am at the nomination centre at Dewan Kenanga, Kompleks Pejabat Kerajaan Daerah Petaling, Shah Alam.
The candidates are: Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar (Barisan Nasional – Umno), Ramanan Ramakrishnan (Pakatan Harapan – PKR), Mohd Ghazali Md Hamin (Perikatan Nasional – PAS), Mohd Akmal Mohd Yusoff (Gerakan Tanah Air – Pejuang), Ahmad Jufliz Faiza (Parti Rakyat Malaysia), Syed Abdul Razak Syed Long Alsagoff (Independent) and Nurhaslinda Basri (Independent).
Syed Abdul Razak will be using the key symbol while Nuhaslinda has selected the book symbol.
