Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan said he has been contacted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) shortly after claiming that he was offered financial remuneration to support the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Via a Facebook post, Wan Saiful said his staff have been asked to get in touch with the commission to lodge a report regarding his claim made in the Dewan Rakyat today.

Wan Saiful, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) supreme council member, said he would adhere to the request.

“However, what I want to know is what action will be taken to stop the use of public funds to entice Bersatu members of parliament.

“Wouldn’t it be better if the funds were used for the people’s welfare?” he wrote.
