Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has denied any affiliation with MyAirline, an airline company that recently announced its closure after an abrupt investor withdrawal.
In a Facebook post, he said that he had no direct relationship with the airline company or any of its shareholders.
He said certain quarters were trying to link him to the airline which is now in troubled waters, for reasons not known to him.
“I believe there are certain parties who are trying to tarnish my good name by making malicious accusations that I am involved with this company. Stop this dirty cheap politics.
Muhyiddin said that just because he and the aviation company engaged the services of the law firm Rosli Dahlan Saravana Partnership (RDS), it should not be held against him.
“RDS as a law firm has the right to represent anyone who needs its legal services,” he said in his post.
Muhyiddin added that MYAirline company also had obtained the conditional approval of its air service license in December 2021, when he was no longer the prime minister. – NST
