Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Muhammad has handed over “reference material” on her claim of a family conspiracy in DAP to police.
However, her lawyer said it was up to police to determine whether the material was authentic.
“We had several reference materials which we gathered and handed over to the police.
“Whether that material is relevant or not, or authentic or not, we leave it to the police,” Ahmad Amzar Ahmad Azlan told reporters outside the police headquarters in Bukit Aman today.
Earlier, Siti Mastura had turned up for questioning over her allegations that DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and his son Guan Eng were related to former Singapore premier Lee Kuan Yew and former communist leader Ong Boon Hua, popularly known as Chin Peng.
The PAS lawmaker also claimed that several DAP leaders had family ties with each other.
Six police reports were subsequently lodged against Siti Mastura over the matter.
Police questioned her for almost an hour, according to her lawyer.
While speaking to reporters after, Siti Mastura tried to refocus attention back on Guan Eng.
Specifically, she asked for an update on the police probe on the DAP chairperson over allegations that he touched on 3R – religion, royalty and race – issues.
“I wonder what the status of this case is,” she said.

The Bagan MP landed in hot water in July after he was reported as saying that Perikatan Nasional would destroy Buddhist or Chinese temples in Penang.
He denied making the claim, clarifying that his speech was made in reference to a case of a Hindu temple in Kedah being demolished in July 2020.
China Press also issued a clarification saying that MalaysiaNow incorrectly translated Guan Eng’s quotes.
There have been no updates on the police probe over this so far.
Meanwhile, Amzar said they have also received four letters of demand from DAP leaders, namely Kit Siang, Guan Eng, Guan Eng’s wife Betty Chew, and Seputeh MP Teresa Kok.
The lawyer, however, said they have yet to go through the letters of demand.
The letters of demand are likely over the family conspiracy claims.
