Police have arrested the woman driver of a pickup truck involved in a collision with a convoy of luxury cars on Friday.

Kulai police chief Tok Beng Yeow said the 28-year-old woman surrendered herself at about 1am last night and had been remanded until Wednesday.

Yesterday, Tok said the police were investigating a viral video showing a convoy of luxury cars stopping at Km 34 of the North-South Highway and blocking traffic at the southbound Sedenak exit.

He said the initial investigation found that the incident was caused by the four-wheel-drive Ford Ranger trying to overtake the convoy dangerously, before colliding with one of the cars while entering the left lane.

“As a result, the convoy stopped in the middle of the highway due to dissatisfaction and a misunderstanding between the drivers,” he said. – FMT
