Ministers, like all other politicians are here to serve the rakyat and help make the country better in terms of infrastructure, FDIs and the overall well-being of all Malaysians.
In the past, we have seen many incapable Ministers who were totally unqualified and unable to carry out their duties at all.
In fact, even in the current Cabinet, there are a number of “dead wood” who are total non-performers and should not even be there in the first place.
As a voter, I wonder why hard-earned taxpayer’s money is being used to pay the salaries of these absolute non-performers.
A minister should be someone who brings benefit to the nation and to every individual, not someone who sits in her or his office, warms the chair and does nothing.
In this respect, I feel the issue of Ministerial quota for each political party should not be an issue, instead it should be based on who is qualified and able to do the job.
Just because a particular party won this number of seats, does not mean it has suitable candidates to take up ministerial positions.
Ministerial positions should be given to those qualified, able and willing to do the job effectively, not to every Tom, Dick and Harry which is a total waste of taxpayer’s money.
We cannot go around appointing baboons just because of some quota.
Malaysia is a great nation and she is now rising from the ashes and to accomplish this. We need real, capable leaders – leaders who are colour-blind and work for the betterment of all.
The last thing we need is a baboon groping cluelessly in the dark and in the end achieving nothing, but enriching him or herself.
There should not be pressure on our Prime Minister to carry out his duties and those with personal interests at heart should not ever be re-elected.
It is truly upsetting to read the kind of veiled threats some parties are making against our prime minister. Voters, take note and lets together ensure these unscrupulous individuals are never re-elected.
