Close to 20,000 individuals have signed an online petition calling for her to be jailed for umpteen violations of the SOP.

Popular TV host Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, who has been making news headlines for the wrong reasons in recent times, has put off many netizens.

From her recent wedding ceremony, alleged honeymoon in Langkawi, carpet shopping in Nilai, Seremban, up to the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration with her family members, the 32-year-old entrepreneur has been alleged to have violated the standard operating procedures (SOP) amid the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Neelofa’s name is currently trending on Twitter-ville, and the celebrity is hotly discussed by Twitter users whose tweets about her alone have amounted to 7,000 times.

Earlier today, Neelofa and husband PU Riz have pleaded not guilty at the Seremban Magistrate’s Court for violating Covid-19 SOP while shopping for carpets in Nilai on May 2 amid the MCO.

Neelofa was pictured heading to the court without a face mask behind her niqab.

In allowing bail of RM15,000 against Neelofa, the court set June 4 for mention.

The couple, charged with violating Regulation 19 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Infected Local Area) (Conditional Movement Control) (No 4) (Amendment) (No 12) Regulations 2021, face a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment for up to six months, or both, if found guilty.

With one bad example after another set by Neelofa, husband PU Riz, and other family members, most agreed that she was no longer exemplary and should not be regarded as an icon to the general public anymore.

“If you still idolise her, there’s something wrong with you,” read a tweet.

Another wrote: “Seriously, Neelofa is a bad influence.”

Meanwhile, close to 20,000 individuals have signed an online petition calling for the celebrity to be jailed for umpteen violations of the SOP.
