Johor Princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim will marry Dennis Muhammad Abdullah on Aug 14.
According to the Royal Court Council president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli, Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah have consented and given their blessings to the wedding.
“The state ceremonial flag will be raised on Aug 8 to mark the start of the royal wedding ceremony,” Rahim said.
A tahlil and thanksgiving prayer would be held at the Pasir Pelangi Mosque on Aug 10. The betrothal ceremony would take place at 10am on Aug 14 at Istana Bukit Serene followed by the solemnisation ceremony.
“His Royal Highness has consented for the state Mufti Datuk Muhammad Tahrir Shamsudin to conduct the ceremony as his official representative,” Rahim said.
The bersanding ceremony will be held at 8pm on the same day at the throne room of the Istana Besar.
Thereafter, the royal bathing ceremony will be held at the Bukit Bintang Pavilion Royal Botanical Gardens of the Istana Besar on Aug 15.
The royal newlyweds will pay their respects to Johor’s late Sultans at the Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum on Aug 16.
Tunku Aminah, who was born on Apr 8, 1986, is second of six siblings and the only daughter to Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith.
Dennis Muhammad, formerly known as Dennis Verbaas, was born on May 1, 1989, in Lisse near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He converted to Islam on May 31, 2015, the New Straits Times reported.

Dennis was a semi-professional footballer and manager of the JDT Concept Store and Cafe before becoming the marketing manager of Tampines Rovers Football Club in Singapore.
