Zafrul seeks to correct errors in Zahid’s affidavit.

Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz’s remarks on Zahid’s affidavit are to be referred to court, said Attorney General’s Chambers.

Earlier, Zafrul, in a statement, said he is seeking to file an affidavit to correct “factual errors” in another affidavit, which claimed that former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, had in an addendum order, granted house arrest to Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

He said this is being done to ensure a just and fair decision is made in the interest of all parties.

Zafrul said this came about after he had sighted a supplementary affidavit by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi regarding Najib’s application to compel the government to produce the addendum order.

He said there were factual errors in Zahid’s affidavit, and he would be obtaining legal advice and writing to the High Court to correct the errors.

“I will be taking steps to obtain appropriate legal advice and seek to write to the High Court to ask for permission or leave to file an affidavit to correct certain factual errors contained in the affidavit in question.

“I take no position in so far as the merits of the ongoing dispute is concerned but I merely wish to ensure that the factual record is properly reflected and recorded so that all parties and in particular the High Court is properly appraised of all material facts,” he said.

Zafrul added that correction of the errors will ultimately lead to a fair decision for all parties.

However, Zafrul did not reveal what were the errors in the affidavit.
