Police have urged two actors who allegedly spiked Datuk Farid Kamil Zahari’s drink with drugs which led to his outburst in a police station last month to surrender themselves.

“We will give them time till tomorrow and if they failed to surrender we will release their full identity,” said Selangor Criminal Investigations Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat.

“They are persons of interest and failure to show up will leave police with no option but to take them into custody,” he said.

On Tuesday, police detained Sofi Jikan who is also known as Mohamad Shoffi Jikan, 48, after he tested positive for ganja.

Sofi Jikan, who rose to fame after his role in local blockbuster ‘KL Gangster’, was arrested at the Mutiara Damansara police station, when he arrived to have his statement recorded after a police report was lodged against him by Farid Kamil on January 31.

On January 11, Farid was arrested for allegedly attacking a policeman and a civilian at the Kota Damansara traffic police station.

On January 16, he was charged at the magistrate’s court here with two counts of voluntarily causing hurt, and one count each for disorderly conduct and obstructing a public servant from carrying out his duty.

The court granted him RM12,000 bail with one surety for all the charges.
