Perikatan Nasional (PN) is confident that the coalition can win a minimum of 112 parliamentary seats allowing it to form the next federal government after the 15th General Election (GE15).

PN is contesting at 169 parliamentary constituencies in GE15 which has been fixed for nomination this Saturday and polling on Nov 19.

Its chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the rakyat have had enough with the economic uncertainties enveloping the country which saw the B40 income group expanded to B61.

“The present situation is clearly not comforting, despite certain measures rolled out by the federal government which supposedly to help improve the overall standard and cost of living among the people.

“That alone will not save the country from the major financial world recession that is coming.

“Malaysia is in crisis and the next federal government must be able to bear heavy burden to steer the country into recovery. Who else can do it, if not PN,” he said speaking at the coalition’s GE15 candidate announcement meeting at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Mitec) last night.
