Don’t expect to see members of Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) declaring their assets any time soon, PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli said today.
Rafizi, who recently declared his assets publicly, said that the commotion from BN, PN and some non-partisan “budget parties” only highlights their hypocrisy and ignorance.
“These attacks show two things: The hypocrisy of BN, PN and these ‘budget gang supporters’ who never said anything about BN and PN candidates who live luxuriously but do not declare their assets.
“(It shows) how Malaysians are so misunderstood about the digital economy and its potential of producing high-paying job opportunities for the youth.
“Even until Judgement Day, we still won’t see BN and PN declaring their assets,” he said on Facebook.
He said that he would elaborate further during a press conference tomorrow.
Rafizi made public his assets declaration with a document showing his total value of net assets of RM18,851,350 as of October 31.
This includes RM1,092,411 in his Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) account and RM16,737,408 in investments and shares — with RM12,410,000 of them from his stake in his digital marketing and data analytics company Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd.
Next to follow suit was PKR’s Subang candidate Wong Chen who declared RM5,061,000 million worth of total assets and Pahang PN chairman Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah who declared RM2,880,000. – MMO
