Updated: Nazrin’s widow and two stepsons were charged with murder which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction. All three, including the boys clad in school uniforms, agreed they understood the charge read against them. No plea was recorded from any of the accused and no bail was offered.
The trio was jointly charged together with Eka Wahyu Lestari, a maid who is still at large and believed to have returned to Indonesia.
DPP Jamal Arifin applied for the case to be transferred to the High Court, which was approved by magistrate Mohamad Ikhwan Mohd Nasir.

Nasir placed a gag order on the identity of the two boys.
Prominent thinker Chandra Muzaffar, the father of Nazrin’s widow, was also present in court today.
